The Panama Maritime Authority - AMP, as the supreme entity for the execution of the National Maritime Strategy of the Republic of Panama and representative before International Organizations in matters related to the Maritime and Port Sector, such as the Inter-American Committee on Ports of the Organization of American States, has been accompanying the Country and the Maritime, Port and Logistics Industry by carrying out tangible actions in order to advance the 2030 Agenda and achieve the SDGs, aligning efforts with a shared State vision. Taking into account the direct and indirect relationship of maritime transport, ports, seafarers and the community towards the SDGs, the MPA has also developed projects aimed at "the individual, the human being, the people, as the center of our actions, identifying the solution of pending and unpostponable issues". Therefore, it is an honor after a unanimous vote, to be the Chair of the Technical Advisory Group on Port-City Relation, Social Responsibility and Gender Equality and to continue working hand in hand with all OAS Member States, for a maritime port industry with an integrated vision towards economic, environmental and social sustainability from the world-class Logistics Hub in the Americas, Panama.
